Fall – The “Fresh Start” Season

October 21, 2014

Dear Women of Trinity,

Greetings to you on this cooler fall morning. When you live in a place that has triple-digit summers, there is just something about fall that lifts your spirits and says “fresh start.”

As we gathered together to begin our Bible study and our young moms program (TMOMs) last month, we felt that “fresh start” feeling yet again. It was wonderful to see many of you returning and many new faces as well. Click Here for some photos of our first week together.

If you haven’t joined us, may we extend a BIG WELCOME to you to come? It is never too late to jump right in. One of our small groups would just love to have you. Whether you’ve never read the Bible before or you’re a seasoned Bible student, it doesn’t matter. Everyone’s goal is the same—to get to know our amazing God, to learn to live lives that are pleasing to Him, and to help others come to know Him.

We also just had our annual camping beach retreat. Click Here if you’d like to see us at our scruffiest—HA! It was a wonderful weekend in San Clemente State Beach as we fellowshipped together. Three of our women—Trish Wyper, LynnRae Dupree, and Diane Kuehl—shared with us on the subject of “Perspective:  Mine or His.” We were challenged to ask ourselves, “Do I really see the things in my life from God’s perspective or am I stuck in seeing them merely from my own limited perspective?” It’s a foundational question to ask ourselves, especially when hard times come. These talks plus times of worship and sharing around the campfire and meals, enjoying God’s beautiful creation, and much laughter made for a wonderful time together.

As you’ve heard announced on Sundays, Trinity’s outreach to the community, Halloween Happenin’, is just days away and our help is needed! Be sure to sign up to take a shift that night (October 31) or to bring a cake for the cake walk. Click Here.  It is truly one of the most fun ways to serve! We know that God has used it over the years to introduce many people to our church and ultimately to the Lord.

In His great name,

Donna Stark and Wendy McKinney
