April 28, 2014 Dear Women of Trinity,
We trust that you had a good Easter and that the truth of Christ’s resurrection captured your heart once again. What a glorious truth–HE IS RISEN! HE IS RISEN INDEED!
Well, we are excited to announce that with six computers going at 8:00 am on April 1, Women’s Ministry was able to reserve our usual beautiful campsite at San Clemente State Beach for the women’s camping retreat October 10-12! Amy Herwig’s quick fingers got it at 8:01 am! Hooray and thank you, Lord! We hope you will consider joining us for this fun weekend of relaxation, fellowship, sharing, prayer, worship around the campfire and much more. Registration begins Sunday, May 11, at the Women’s Kiosk. You can also register at Bible study starting May 12. For more information, Click Here.
We are also offering four weeks of a special time called “Summer Solitude.” In the midst of your busy life, would you like to have an hour and a half segment of quiet time, alone with the Lord, as you write out Scripture, meditate on his Word, and pray? On the Wednesday mornings of June 11, 18 and July 2, 9 from 10:00-11:30 am you can gather with other women for a short time together and then use the rest of the time for your own personal writing out and meditating on Scripture. Childcare is provided. We will need to know that you are coming to make facility and childcare arrangements, so please sign up at the kiosk beginning Sunday, May 11, or at Bible study beginning May 12. There is no cost.
We’re sure you have seen the announcements in the worship services about the six-week all-church sermon series and small group study called “Follow Me” which began yesterday. If you have not yet joined a small group in your area or planned to attend one of the Sunday on-site groups, it’s not too late. You can purchase the “Follow Me” book in the church office and join with others as we continue to learn more about what it means to be a follower of Jesus.
As a church we have all been praying for the Search Committee as they continue to seek the Lord’s will in bringing our next Senior Pastor. Please continue to be in prayer for the process and for those involved but also for our new senior pastor himself. God already knows who he is, of course, and we can be praying for him, his family, and for his decision to come. For more information, Click Here.
Do you like to sew…or like to help those who do? Our Helping Hands ministry delights in making items for our missionaries, our ministries and for those in need. They meet the first Thursday of the month at the church to work on the projects and to enjoy a potluck lunch together. For more information, Click Here.
May we leave you with this verse from the Psalm we are studying this week in Bible Study:
“God is our refuge and strength,
An ever-present help in trouble.”
In His great name,
